We localized Simatic Step 7 and WinCC into Korean. These two products are the essential software that constitutes the TIA Portal, a plant integration engineering framework created by Siemens.
Simatic Step 7
We used SDL Passolo, a software localization tool, to translate the user interface (UI) of the software while viewing the corresponding UI screens. This resulted in efficient translation of the windows, buttons, input boxes, dialog boxes, and system messages and ensured that the localized software product was optimized for the localization language.
Simatic WinCC
We used SDL Trados Studio, a computer-aided translation tool, to localize a software manual containing thousands of pages into Korean. During this process, we maintained the consistency of the translation style and terms and ensured that it matched the legacy version of the software.
